We are excited and proud that our unique MA Professional Practice (Voice Pedagogy) course was shortlisted for the prestigious award of ‘Music Teacher Awards for Excellence Outstanding Music Education Product Finalist 2019’.
We are delighted that one of our MA students Sharon Mari presented her Work Based Learning project which was titled "An investigation into the treatment strategy of the injured singing voice from the perspective of the Speech Therapist, Singing Teacher and Vocal Rehabilitation Coach" at the Voice Clinic Forum.
A massive congratulations to our MA student Emily Foulkes who gained national press recently regarding her research into alleviating long term pain through singing.
We discussed a wide variety of fascinating topics ranging from ‘Open throat, open mind’ and ‘Pop Pastiche as Pure and Plastic Pedagogy’ to ‘Flexible Voices – Studying Voice Production Using MRI of the Brain and Vocal Tract’ and ‘Resuscitating the flaccid tongue’.
Voice Workshop MA students Kate Cubley and Juliet Russell were awarded first and second prize for their academic posters at the “Towards Best Practice: Teaching Singing in Higher Education" conference at the University of West London in September 2018.
A big well done to one of our MA students, Jai Ramage, for being selected to represent the UK on the judge’s panel for Eurovision this year! We're so proud of you!
